Tillany Fine Arts Museum & Gallery is a project of The George Foundation (TGF) designed to promote highly talented and upcoming artists and artisans who have not been able to promote their work. These artists and artisans are likely to be from poor backgrounds, and who do not have the means to create art consistent with their talents, and display their work in the right environment.

The museum is located in Baliganapalli, near Hosur, in Tamil Nadu, India. It is a 15,000+ sq. ft, three-story, fully air-conditioned facility, designed in a very contemporary style, and is an artistic piece of work in its own right.

A selection committee appointed by TGF will identify artists and artisans who deserve assistance in creating their work. Those who are selected will be exposed to artwork from other parts of the world (through pictures, videos and samples) to help broaden their creative ideas. Those requiring tools and supplies (such as canvas, paint, brush, granite, cutting tools, etc.) will be loaned them free of charge.

Completed artworks will be evaluated for their suitability for display in Tillany for organized exhibits that will be promoted every month. After 3 months of display, the work will be put on sale/auction. Up to 40% of the nett proceeds from the sale will be paid to the artist/artisan, and the balance will be used for creating and promoting new work.

Indian and foreign galleries are invited to participate with Tillany to exhibit and/or purchase art and craft work created by our artists and artisans
